Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Voltix collects when you use the Voltix website, the license service and the buyer portal. Voltix itself runs on the server owner’s own hosting, so the data your bot stores about your community stays with you and is not sent to us.

01What we collect

  • License service: a one-way hash of your license key, the name or BuiltByBit user ID on the license, installation IDs, the bot version, and timestamps of activations and checks.
  • Security log: the IP address and event (activation, rejected key, portal sign-in) for requests to the license service, so we can spot abuse.
  • Buyer portal and website sign-in: when you sign in with Discord we receive your Discord user ID, username and, for the dashboard, the list of servers you manage. We ask only for the “identify” permission in the portal.
  • Support: whatever you send us when you ask for help.

02What we do not collect

We do not receive the messages, members, tickets or settings of the servers where you run Voltix. They are stored in your own database. We do not run advertising or sell data.

03Why we use it

  • To check that a license is valid and enforce its limits.
  • To let you manage your license in the buyer portal.
  • To keep the service secure and investigate abuse.
  • To answer support requests.

04Cookies

We use only essential cookies: a signed session cookie that keeps you signed in, and a short-lived cookie that protects the Discord sign-in against forgery. They are not used for tracking or advertising, and the site does not load third-party analytics.

05Who we share it with

We use hosting and database providers to run the service, and Discord for sign-in. Purchases are processed by BuiltByBit, which has its own privacy policy. We share information with authorities only when the law requires it.

06How long we keep it

License records are kept while the license exists, and security and support records for as long as needed to run the service safely. You can ask us to delete or correct your data at any time; we will do so unless we must keep it for legal or security reasons.

07If you run Voltix for a community

You decide what Voltix stores about your members and are responsible for telling them. The dashboard’s Privacy page lists what is stored, sets how long each kind is kept, and can export or erase one member’s data on request.

08Your rights and children

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, or object to how it is used. Discord requires users to be at least 13 (or older where the law says so); we do not knowingly collect data from younger children.
